Malware from Downloading ADOBE FLASH to my Nexus 7

That's the issue - while Flash is being phased out, it's still used on a LOT of sites, so we (consumers) do still generally need a solution for viewing flash content. Surely 4.4 isn't going to break every avenue of viewing flash content...

No, but they can make my life a hell.

You'd use Puffin browser, it has a build-in flash player ... but it isn't for free.

I use dolphin and Mozilla... so that means its still flash dependent?

the thing to remember is when less devices support flash, that will result in less hits [visits] on sites using flash, less hits is the only thing that will "encourage" these sites to convert to a flash alternative.

hmmm so we dont need adobe flash anymore. how can we view Videos in facebook. Because when I tried to watch a facebook video using DOLPHIN Browser. it told me i needed a flash support. hmmmm any if i view webcams too. it says flash support...thats why I got Flash

I couldn't tell you...I don't use Facebook, or my front-facing webcams on my puters, tablet, or phone.

Adobe AIR is supposed to be the replacement for Flash, but developers are being very slow in writing their apps to use it. Blame the developers.

It's not hard to imagine someone reading about it here, then talking to someone else outside of the Nexus 7 context about how Chrome doesn't support Flash. Since Chrome exists as a browser with different code and features on different platforms, an OS on Chromebooks, and a different OS on at least one other device (Chromecast), it's good to occasionally clarify when statements apply to one specific context such as the mobile browser. Always keep an eye on assumptions, or they can cause some serious trouble.
