I am wanting to do the manual push of the 4.0.4 update, but the instructions on the link posted have YouTube vids. Unfortunately, I am one of those folks who has YouTube blocked at work. Are the vids in any other format somewhere? Or are there any step by step written instructions somewhere? I know, trivial question, but it's what I am stuck with. Also, I don;t want to have to wait until I get home. Wife works from home and is on the PC late in the evening. thanks guys. If I must wait until OTA, then I guess I must wait.

We have a thread devoted to the OTA and installing it. Within it (a few pages in) should be a method of doing it without rooting and unlocking.

Correct. But the instructions on that page include vids (as i am avisual learner) but the vids are YouTubes, and YT is blocked here. Was hoping they vids were loaded in another format somewhere.

This is the link I presume you were talking about

IMM76K Direct for Verizon Galaxy Nexus Manual OTA Instructions [UPDATED][New Working Link] ? StrifeJester's Rants

It could be. Check the posts in the thread I posted; a user went through it and sort of "troubleshooted" the ordeal.

I went through about 10 pages and since I'm not used to the language used, maybe I skipped over it. I saw that byrd(something) did it with a locked, non-rooted device. Ugh. I'm the guy that wants to be technical, but just can't get past the technical language part. I'm like the ugly chick that wants to be prom queen. LOL I apologize if Iam wasting your time. I will head back to your thread and peruse again.

lol no you're not, don't worry. I haven't used this method so you sort of have to "crowd source" the answer, but I'm 90% sure there should be some sort of extra walk through in there (the byrd name rings a bell). Also, check the comments for that link you posted too, there's some good stuff there.

Also, you should unlock/root, b/c it's the way God and Andy Rubin intended Android to be :).
