AC Question
I had a Windows Phone for a long time, but moved a Pixel XL a few months ago. As a consequence, 90% of my contacts are stored in an outlook.com account which is still my main account (and preferred email client!). I've also got contacts from other accounts and services - gmail, university account, Facebook, Twitter etc with details stored.
In many cases, I'll have duplicates, which generally the gmail contacts app tidies up by 'linking'. A problem arises however, when:
My imaginary friend John Smith is stored in my outlook account, with his home phone, address, email. I've also go an entry for Jonathan Smith (same guy) on my university account for his second (university) email. I'd recently added his mobile number (under Jonboi, the nickname I call him) to my gmail account (because Outlook won't sync), and his twitter handle is JollyJonny.
I now have 4 contacts with slightly different names for the same person, so they don't automatically link. But I want to link them all up! I'm sure I used to be able to tap the three dots at the top right of a contact page and 'link contacts' to search and join them up - but I can't seem to anymore!
This was an absolute piece of cake of a neolithic Windows Phone, so I'd be staggered if Android couldn't do it - what am I missing?
