Many Problems

I have had the XL three days, and here is my problem list so far:

*On day one it rebooted about ten times. Since then, it has been OK.
*On day two, the battery charge indication stopped working - it was stuck on 100%. I had
to reboot to get it to work.
*On Day three, the fingerprint sensor took about 1 second to unlock the phone. I rebooted,
and it seems OK so far.

I am starting to worry...

I've had this happen to my 6P a couple of times before on Oreo. Had this happen twice so far on my smaller Pixel 2. I think this is an Oreo bug.

Sometimes your finger just isn't in the right position on the sensor for it to unlock. When setting up the fingerprint sensor, you'll want to place your finger in slightly varying angles to reduce the chance of this happening.

Did you "restore" your Pixel 2 from an earlier phone?

If so, I'll bet you brought over a couple of apps that do't really belong on your P2.

when the Nexus 6 came out there were tons of us getting Random reboots. sometimes once a day, others weren't so lucky and got it many times a day. Google responded with saying it was a software glitch. and I guess it was cause after a few updates my random reboots stopped happening.

just saying it could be software related that can be updated and you won't have to go through the trouble of so many RMAs

That doesn't explain those of us that aren't having that problem and I don't see that being reported except for this case. It could be anything at this point.

I will give it some time to be fixed. It took me over a day to get it set up. I guess we now have a 2 year warranty.

Has there been any more reboots in the last little while? How are things with your Pixel?

You're right - at least you have the two-year warranty to fall back on! So don't worry too much! :)

Mine was rebooting all the time as well. I noticed it would reboot whenever I put it in my inside jackets pocket. and the touch screen would not respond in the top corners. Got it replaced no more rebooting and touch is good. but this screen is not as sharp as my 1st one.

Not since that one day when I went to see a friend. I have not gone back to the same location. It seems a lot of people have had this problem, it probably has to do with a weak LTE signal, or certain cell towers. I hope it doesn't happen again.

Same here!

I've had the reboot issue with both my Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL (on a daily basis). With the update to 8.1, I have not seen a reboot in a day and a half on my Pixel 2 XL (the Pixel 2 is no longer with me). I hope the issue has been resolved with 8.1, but will monitor it for a few more days.

I got my pixel 2 XL on the 5th of December, so this is my 3rd day with it, and I have noticed no problems with random reboots, no problems with the fingerprint scanner, and no problems with the battery charge as the OP has suggested, mine works buttery smooth, I'm loving this phone..
