I've had an issue ever since getting my Maxx - my MapMyRide app, which worked flawlessly on my Droid and Droid 2, will sporadically drop GPS on the same routes that my previous phones had excellent service in signal. My metropolitan route involves a clear line of sight and excellent 4G service, but after my 20 mile ride, I will notice that the app stopped tracking at 3-5 miles, which really screws up my stats.
I've read around and found that other people are having similar GPS issues with their Razrs and Maxxs, and would like to know if anyone has found a solution to this? Most peoples' problems seem to have been cured with ICS - mine hasn't. It's just as broken as it was before.
Help? The GPS dysfunction is unacceptable.
Edit: And I will add that my GPS in general is very slow. For instance, I enable my GPS when I get in the car, just in case I need to start navigation on-the-fly. It doesn't do any good. Even after being in the car for 15-20 minutes, I will start Navigation, and will take sometimes several minutes to lock. Sometimes it never locks at all and I just give up. It was also doing this before and after ICS.
