Maps Contributing to Battery Loss?

Hello,

Just recently whenever I check the "What has been using the battery" area, below all the normal items, "Maps" has been coming up to almost 10% by the end of the day.

I have no clue why, my GPS is off and Maps is not in use at all. Any ideas?

It's 10% of used battery life -- not the entire battery (common misunderstanding). If it only used 10% of what you used of your battery at the end of the day (assuming you took it off the charger in the morning), that's not bad at all. Let's say you used 90% of your battery in one day. If Maps used 10% of that that's 9%.

I'd spend time worrying about the bigger battery hogs. Worrying over something using such a small percent is a highly inefficient way of improving battery life.

I agree, but, I'm just not sure why Maps is appearing there at all? In my last year and 1/2 owning this device, Maps shows up when I use it as a battery drainer, now it is always one of the drainers, even though its on the low end.
