Mark as read not working?

Over the last few days, using multiple web browsers on Win 10, the "mark as read" feature seems to not be working. The forum page refreshes, but everything unread remains unread.

Seems to have gotten better over the last few days, but still not corrected.
2-4 attempts seems to be required.

Same with Safari 15 and macOS Big Sur (11.6). Most subforms respond correctly to Mark as Read but the Pixel 6 & 5 Pro subform does not. The screen blinks like its being marked but nothing changes. Meh, not a big deal. I can live with that.
