Market Issues Since Update

Hey all. Long time frequenter, first time poster.

While I enjoy that the update fixed some hardware issues (though I did have to reformat my SD card), there's a particular software problem that's got me stumped. I use Union Bank, and so I have their mobile app to do my banking. After applying the OTA fix, the app would no longer function. So, I decided to do an uninstall/reinstall and go from there.

One problem though: Union Bank no longer shows up in the Android Market. I've even tried doing a stock firmware reset & it still won't show up. I know the App is online, as I can access & download it from my sister's Samsung Epic. So...does anyone know what happened with this update that's blocking my ability to download & install my mobile banking app?

I tried to google it and found the QR code here:

But it says app is not available.Not sure if your much of a torrent user but i have the app on my home server via torrent.You could try that and see if it works for you.

Can you goto android.market.com on a PC and install it over the web to your phone?

My recommendation:

1. Download Barcode Scanner from the market
2. Find your app on AndroLib: union bank | All | By date, Androlib, Android Applications and Games directory
3. Using Barcode Scanner, scan the QR Code, tap open in browser
4. Either your app will show up in the market or you will get a "The requested item could not be found." error in which case the VC update made the app incompatible and there is nothing you can do about it.

To put the kibosh on any "WHY OH WHY?!?!?!" responses, devs will place system requirements for their apps when they submit them to the market. If a device does not meet those requirements, the app will not show up in the market for that device. If this is the case for your banking app, then the VC update is passing different hardware specs than before to the market.

Just as a rule of thumb, I wouldn't trust a torrent for anything that is financial, or related to my identity.

it just may not be there anymore. i noticed a few apps that were no longer available to me after updating (CLapp). on V9 it was in market, VC it was not. when i tried to download using googles market on my pc, it said that it was not available for my device.
