Market issues?

I got it. There was an article on this problem I found. Have to clear the cache in the market and download manager. If any one else is still having issues, try that.

So after you cleared the cache, you just opened back up the Marketplace and it was the new version? Or did you restart and then open? I cleared the cache for the market, both the market updater and download manager were already cleared. I restarted my phone, then opened the Marketplace back up and I still have version 1714.

i think they meant it fixed their downloading issues, i'm not really sure who got the weird silent update, but i just installed the apk

Is the new apk the only way to make purchases? I have tried clearing the cache and rebooting and all that and I still get the "failed to establish connection" when trying to log in to make a purchase. is anyone else having this issue?
