I don't get it. Yesterday I went into a Verizon franchise and a Radio Shack - both in the same shopping center - and neither store had the Rezound out. Worse, when I asked the sales reps at each store if they carried it, I got a blank stare from both. It's very unfortunate.

And on another note, every phone they DID have on display had those dummy screens. How can anyone make a decision on a smartphone from those? Even if the Rezound was on display, it would just sit there with no way of showing off it's amazing screen, speed, camera, etc.

Is this because there stores aren't corporate Verizon locations? The Verizon franchise store id'd itself as a "premiere " store.

No wonder my friends with android phones have no idea what a widget is or how to make use of homescreens, etc.

The Marketing for the rezound sucks. I think the only ad i've seen for it just pimped the Beats by Dre, which is cool but how about the 720p Display,1.5Ghz duel core cpu etc... Even if your common person doesn't have any idea about screen resolutions or processors on phones what they do like is numbers. To the average person more is better. More cpu's, they want it, higher number on the cpu speed they want , higher number on the screen rez, they must have it lol.

Beats is cool I guess, but I don't think that specific feature alone is gonna push many sales.

Many Verizon employees are not to smart or well trained on the devices they sell. Always has always will be. When I got my Rezound she brougt up a new sim card for it. I said you don't need to put a new one in it just take the one out of my thunderbolt and put it in, activation done. She insisted I was wrong till the manager heard us lightly arguing walk over asked if he could help and quickly agreed and told her she just had to put in my sim card from my Thunderbolt and thats it.

The only commercial for the Rezound that I've seen is of that black family walking into the Verizon store, trying on the Beats earbuds, and then dancing to a Christmas song.
So from what I've gathered, Rezound is for black people, and the Razr is for high tech spies.
