Marketplace won't open

A few weeks ago I tried to open my Marketplace and the screen goes white for a second then returns to the home screen. I don't get an error message or anything. I only have a handful of apps and I had all of them for at least a couple of weeks before the marketplace quit working. I no longer receive notifications about updates available for download either. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anything I can do to fix? I'm afraid if I go to TMobile they'll tell me I need a new phone.
 
Did you ever find a solution? I'm having the same problem. I've tried restarting and force stopping but nothing is working.
