So has anyone began working on rooting the Marquee or making roms? I love this phone so much for what it is however, the software on it along with the battery life just killls me... I wish we could find some rom that might work on it.

there's root, but the CM7 for it is still very buggy

Well, maybe when the LG Marquee comes out for Boost
Mobile more people will start working on this phone, or at least I hope so. :(

I could see the guys who work on other Boost phones ditching them and getting the Marquee if it comes out at a good price.

Doesn't seem like CWM would be hard to port from the Black if you knew what you were doing. Probably wouldn't take more than a day or so. I'm sure they could use a lot of the kernel tweaks as well.

So, its a wait and see game.

Key words here being "if you knew what you were doing".

There's a couple of us on the forum who have tried getting all the pieces to fit (props to tcaudill01 for all his work so far), but it seems none of us are all that well versed in bootloaders and custom recoveries. It looks like someone who knew what they were doing could do it rather simply.

I've been attempting to get some folks involved, but everyone has been pretty busy with other projects (myself included).

Yeah. I have a feeling more things will happen when the phone drops on Boost. It will be the best phone they have and Im sure people that might have gotten the Warp are now gonna hold out for the Marquee. I know it would.

Its a good phone, if not for anything more than the display. I can only imagine what it will become once recovery is in place and people start tweaking the kernel.
