Got a notification for an update on my Moto X Play in Canada. Discuss findings here. Hopefully some bugs I thought I had to live with will be gone. Definitely wasn't expecting this! Good job Moto

I got the update yesterday (Brazilian model). So far I haven't noticed much difference. It includes the March security patch.

I see a different baseband than I have now. That is the radio file, right?

It's just a security update with few improvements in stability..
I don't see any improvement in performance though..

Again my battery backup draining faster than usual and my moto x play won't detecting my SD card card after updating to 6.0.1

You could try wiping the cache partition via recovery mode and see if it makes a difference.

I've noticed that some animations run smoother, specially those related to the status bar. I hide it with Nova launcher and it was always a bit jumpy, now transitions are better.

Most reports from Brazilian users indicate an improvement in battery life after the update. Right now I'm travelling and keep the phone on aeroplane mode with occasional WiFi connection, so I can't check if this is true.

Something new :) They added some functions in the calculator, including %. Don't know what that RAD thing means.

RAD stands for radians and degrees. It used to help figure out angles and stuff.

Merged your thread into this larger one.

Did it update from 6.0, or from Lollipop? If it updated from 6.0, was the SD card previously set as adoptable storage?

Regarding the battery, show us some battery stats. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

Yes. Not pleasant. Almost same as twisting the wrist to launch camera

After 6.0.1, I get "Unfortunately, Moto Voice has stopped"...which is funny as it wasn't turned on. I get this error constantly...along with the Waze not working.

This is my second Moto X Play, and it doesn't read the SD card either. Not happy.

Oh yeah this is the most updated Android phone I've had. I hope they keep it up!
