Before and after of the front facing camera. Primary camera became quite laggy and at some instances can see noticeable change in photo quality and seems to be having trouble focusing at times also.. Feels blurry at times.

Selfie, wide angle cam pic taken with marshmallow, 2 weeks ago. Other than the green bandana covering up the shine off my dome the two lighting scenarios are very similar.
I really can't tell a difference.
In your pics above one is with ambient outdoor lighting and the other is indoor artificial lighting. I am no photo-expert though. I'm just mentioning it because the two lighting conditions are not identical and thus not an apples/apples comparison.
As far as I've used the front camera, the only real misses in quality I've witnessed is when I'm in artificial soft white lighting. Outdoor shots are fantastic otherwise.
