Marshmallow Easter Egg game more difficult than LP? ?

Maybe I'm just lame, but I don't recall the LP version being this difficult to get the tapping "dialed in", like there's a significant difference in height from a light tap to a stronger one.

Dunno, maybe I just haven't wasted enough time on it. Anyone else?

I've gotten 3 at best. In fairness, I had spent no time on the LP version as my Moto X had only gotten it 3 weeks before I got the 6P and I never even considered looking for the easter egg...
