Good morning/evening everyone,
My SM-T805 was bought from The United Arab Emirates in 2015 .It had Android KitKat version was doing ok. And after updating to Lollipop it was ok.
One week ago there was a notification of a new OS update and there was an obligatory firmware upgrade.
After the obligatory upgrade the battery didn't charge if the tablet was powered off and charged only to 83% if the power was on.
After going to Samsung maintenance they diagnosed that there was a problem with the USB which would cost me additional fees to fix. I was not convinced so I told them not to proceed.
Going back home, I found that the maximum charging capacity decreased to 78% then to 74% so I took the decision to downgrade the firmware myself to the original version.
After the downgrade the charging process went normal as it charges to 100% whether the device was turned on or off.
I advice users of the same model not to risk going through this upgrade till Samsung fixes this issue.
