Marshmallow Galaxy S6 UK Release?

Hi,

Anybody have any idea when Marshmallow will be released for the GS6 in the UK?

Does your network provider make a difference?

Should be soon as beta testing has recently finished. It is however carrier dependent. My previous device was EE branded and the upgrade to Lollipop was weeks after the official release.

I think the beta testing finishes on the 16th so be soon after that. Unlocked models will get it pretty quick but if your locked to a network like myself, then its them who decide when to roll it out

Seems there's a Beta 6.01 now being rolled out to those who signed up for the beta testing program

Also - carriers add their own apps and bloat, muck around with settings (defaulting some, eliminating others) and then of course need to do their own testing. Once they get the release from Samsung it could be week or months before we see it. Carrier testing might reveal a bug serious enough to warrant a revision from Samsung, and further delays. Don't be anxious - you don't want it before it is ready!

I'm not tied to carrier so applied and got the beta. I would expect it is only unlocked devices for the beta prog. I dropped out a few days ago as I was having major issues with themes, only solution was a hard reset. So now I have v6 but not 6.01, so wait for next OTA. I would recommend waiting as it looks from the beta program that it is closed now.

I was running the 6.0 beta in the uk on my unlocked galaxy s6 and it was pretty good at first then i got random crashes so reverted back to 5.1.1, 2 days later i seen that its getting the 6.0.1 bugfix but now the beta program is closed i carnt sign back up lol. Shouldnt be too long away now and apart from the bugs i sufferd it was a good update so i think were all in for a treat. The biggest change for me on 6.0 was battery, its far better on 6.0 i was getting 5h sot with medium usage
