I waited several days before downloading the update but decided to try it today.

It's at maybe 20% of the installation but my phone keeps shutting off. I put it on the charger in case it's just that the battery got too drained. But it is still shutting off. Is it normal for it to shut off during the installation? Thanks.

All seems well. After I took the phone off the charger it was optimizing apps, and eventually finished. It took close to 4 hours for the whole thing.

So far as I recall when I received it, it said it would take about 45min, which is indeed about the time it did take.

My battery must have drained faster than I thought. Only 45 minutes, wow. You must have fewer apps installed than I do, but of course I did have to charge in the middle of everything. I'm noticing standby battery is great post update but SOT seems worse. I'll see if it improves after a couple of days. :)

Yes, not many apps.
I've heard of it taking a long time for others though.
