So I recently watched Altered Carbon and Van Helsing on Netflix.
I noticed horrible massive colour banding in the background. And in dark scene where the colour suppose to be grey and visible to see but on my s8+, it just turned off the pixel (black crush). It looked so bad and unwatchable. This problem doesnt exist on my friend's note 8 or my gf's iphone 6s+ or my retina macbook pro.
I tried turning of the video enhancer, lowered resolution to 1080p, and switched the display to basic mode. Nothing help. So I factory reset the phone, still doesnt help.
I took my phone to samsung and they agreed to replace the screen for me in a few days. (Eventhough my phone passed their grey scale test)
Anyone experiencing this? Is this netflix's new codec issue?
