Massive EVO wallpaper collection OVER 1800! (Updated: 2/4/11)

Hi everyone. Here is a collection of wallpapers resized for for your EVO home screen (960x800), most of which are from interfacelift.com. ENJOY!

Original file names kept intact, so don't worry, they are indeed 960x800.

This is a very bare form. I hope to get some sort of site going in the future that is much more organized :-p

I will be adding more as I find them.

Index of /evo/wallpapers
Index of /evo/wallpapers020411

Also, to utilize multiple wallpapers on your phone, I use a program called WallSwitch, which you can customize to automatically change your wallpapers at a specified interval.

Attached below is a file that if put in the directory of your wallpapers, will hide them from galleries, and tells android not to index the files. Having tons of wallpapers in your gallery might slow it down initially as it tries to index and build thumbnails of them. Just go ahead and unzip and toss the ".nomedia" file into whatever directory you're trying to hide from gallery.

Where do I put these on the phone so I can access them when I want to browse through different wallpapers? I'll probably put 20 or 30 of these on the phone. Oh and thanks!

You can put them pretty much anywhere.

On my phone, I created a directory called Wallpapers on the microSD card and threw them in there. Don't use the .nomedia file if you want to be able to browse them with gallery. That file is mainly for people who have hundreds of wallpapers, or just who don't want them to show up in gallery.

So using WallSwitch and the nomedia file together is not possible correct? I would like to hide the 1600+ images from the Media Galleries, but let WallSwitch see this folder for its app.....I guess they are working against each other?

Correct??

Thanks

It appears so. I tried putting the .nomedia file in the Wallpaper directory I created and WallSwitch didn't see it. Removed the .nomedia file and it saw it. To the OP, thank you, I've been missing this feature since I moved from the Pre.

Have you guys tried setting the folder in WallSwitch before putting the .nomedia file in there? :)

Updated the OP with over 150 new wallpapers. ENJOY!
