They won't see any huge difference in every day performance. Even the mid range phones perform really well .

That's true, my moto z play runs really well and it would be hard to tell the difference in normal tasks to a flagship, 95% of the time. The g5 plus has the same cpu I believe. The honor 8 is also excellent and was under $250 for the 64gb version just yesterday.

$250-300 is the sweet spot for mid rangers now! At least for me. Side note- Any experience between the z play and honor 6x performance wise? Before I bought my honor 8 I was looking hard at those 2 phones.

Getting off topic just a bit here.....I'd hardly consider the Honor 8 a midranger. Price-wise maybe, but the phone has premium specs and features (premium dual camera, NFC, IR) that midrangers just don't have these days. I just bought one a few weeks ago for my son to try out. Hope it gets the Android and EMUI update - as Huawei/Honor promised 2 years of updates.

I don't have the honor 6x but honestly you can get the honor 8 for $226 right now. Seems like an easy choice at that price, if you are looking between the two phones.

Very true. Honor 8 blows them both out of the water. That's why I ultimately chose it.
