Mate 10 Pro will be released on AT&T in February

I would guess a few months after att launch.

Man, I really wanted the Mate 10 Pro, but I've already been holding out for a half year and can't wait that much longer. It sucks that the international unlocked version has no warranty. I guess I'm going to have to pick up the OnePlus 5T :-\.

If the mate 10 pro is what you really want, think carefully before something else because you might regret the op5 and later want the mate 10 pro anyway.

The 1+5T was my second choice, but I'm not really into the mediocre cameras. The M10 Pro is exactly what I want, even beyond cameras. I'm torn between going with the former or taking a chance on no warranty with the latter. Either way, I have to make up my mind soon. I've been holding out for far too long.

I recall reading somewhere that after you pay off whatever phone the carrier has to unlock it if you make the request. Does anyone know if you could hypothetically go into an agreement with, say AT&T, for the Mate 10 Pro, then just pay it all upfront and have them unlock it?

I wonder if they will add band 30 to this version for ATT. everything I've read so far the international version does not.

It wasn't an issue with the mate 9, in fact the mate 9 was one of the best radios I've ever seen. I was able to get signal in places no other phone (s8+, pixel XL, LGV20) would.

Att will unlock it once you meet all their unlock criteria

Eligibility requirements
Wireless, business & non-AT&T customers
Requirements for unlocking AT&T phones, tablets, and mobile hotspots.

Your device isn’t reported lost or stolen, or involved with fraud. You must complete your contract or installment plan (including early termination fees). Or, pay off an installment plan early and then make another unlock request in 24 hours.Your device isn’t active on another AT&T account. If you upgraded early, wait 14 days to unlock your old device. Business customers wait 30 days.Your service must be active for at least 60 days with no past due or unpaid balance.AT&T PREPAIDSM (formerly GoPhone®) devices must have at least 6 months of active service. If you’re military, we’ll ask you to email your TCS or PCS (Temporary / permanent change of station) documents for eligibility. You won’t have to complete installment plans or contracts. If you have a business-owned device, your company must authorize you to unlock it.

Look! The important legal stuff.
AT&T reserves the right to deny any unlock request that it concludes would result in an abuse of this policy or is part of an effort to defraud AT&T or its customers. AT&T further reserves the right to alter this unlocking policy at its discretion without advance notice. If during any one month, more than 100 requests are made from a single source, and if more than 10% of those requests are duplicate IMEI numbers, AT&T will no longer process unlock requests from that source.

I hope that they do too. Especially considering plenty of other att phones support it

Thanks for all the info. I think I'll wait until it comes out on AT&T then pay it off ASAP. Have a good new year!
I would definitely wait for the att unlock as well, provided that I could meet the criteria.
