Mate 9 cases?

For those who got the Mate 9, what cases have you tried and thoughts about them?

It comes with one. I bought a soft shell but eh. There are couple popular brands on Amazon, but I really want the hard 3-piece shell I got for iPhone.

What do you not like about the one that came with it and for those who do have it, how does it feel in the hand? add more grip, less slippery, easier to hold the phone? Granted it will not add drop protection.

This case from VANSIN for iPhone is beautiful, sturdy, and does not block or cover or interfere with any ports.

I think it's just kinda ugly, and of course that is a personal preference!

Minimalist and prevents slipping better.

Clear is clear as can be. As unobtrusive as imagine. Personally.

Some like bright red, some black, I'll bet yellow (not gold) has its fans

Was thinking about that soft TPU clear case as well.. or the Ringke one,

which seems to offer a better drop protection, but I do not want to add bulk.. if anyone has the Ringke case, can you comment on it?

The one it came with pretty decent and for those people who prefer to show off the phone. Zero protection from drops but I use it just to prevent scratches etc.

I bought the Ringke Fusion and Spigen Rugged Armor. They're both good. But the Ringke is more comfortable when I am holding it for long periods of time. Softer material.

The one that came in the box with the phone is light, pleasing to look at and provides protection for the back and corners. I bought a flip Nillkin leather case which is nice and protects the screen -- it was $12 from Amazon. There many on eBay, AliExpress, etc which are the same but cheaper but take a while to ship. If you haven't had the phone in your hand don't touch unless you have $600 handy. It is one great phone and if they were available at the U.S. Carriers I think Apple, Samsung, LG would be beginning to sweat.

It doesn't add much bulk. The case is a soft-hard case. It's stiffer than tpu ones. But not rigid.

Yes, it makes the phone rather bulky and more dense (adds more heft), but I love the added protection the case gives to the phone. The screen protector is tempered glass and it's phenomenal!

That last item is pure trash. Interferes with Touch ID, and side buttons,ball with minimal if any rotection.

The hard metal one for iPhone is strong but light and looks great. Shame they don't

Were there any nice cases for Note 7? Or wasn't out long enough to see it being supported.

I didn't like slightly large corners on the included case so I went with this one in black. It's pretty boring but it's minimal. It says "Nillkin" on the back but the Amazon page doesn't say that. I wanted very minimal. It provides a very slight ridge around the camera and leaves the side buttons fully exposed.
