Max volume 75%

So after plugging in my headset and using the DAC it shows 75 in the volume which is max. Is there no way to increase to 100? Trying to now lawn but can't hear music very well.

When the hifi dac is on the volume is on a scale of 0 to 75 in increments of 5 instead of 0 to 100 in increments of 7 or 8 or whatever it is. I don't know why they chose to do it like that, but that's how it is. I can't imagine anybody needing more than full volume with hifi mode enabled. This phone is crazy powerful when hifi mode is on. Even with my power hungry open back AKG Q701 I don't need to get higher than 45 out of 75.

Maybe it also depends on the headphones but I used to be able to now the lawn fine and listen to music but not this time.

Not quite as loud as the HTC m8 on headphone volume, I do think they sound cleaner and brighter, but definitely louder than most phones or there.

I plugged the phone into my car stereo aux port, which requires me to turn the volume up all the way. And I had hifi/dac setting on as well. So far the results have been hit or miss. The first time it said the phone's volume was on all the way, but it sounded really quiet. I went into a store and plugged it back in when I got back to my car. This time it really let me turn the phone up all way and it was noticeably louder (the cars volume was the same as before and now I had to turn it down). Last night I plugged it in again and it seemed kind of quiet again, so I don't know.

Part of the problem I had could be attributed to the warning that pops up when you increase the volume past a certain point.

Yeah, and I don't know if there's a setting where you can go to 100 instead of 75. I have yet to use my cars aux. Will probably try that today.

Could be a crappy aux cable. I have the same issue with my PC speaker where it occasionally is super quiet, but I just have to re adjust the cable in the port. If it's a replacable cable for your car, try switching it out for a different one and see if you get different results.

I have the beats witless and the whole point was so I didn't have to deal with the cord but if I want them loud enough to wear it actually noise cancles I have to use the aux which I hate.

if what you are reporting here is true, it certainly is sad for me! if you ever thought about losing most you hearing, and being very hearing impaired? I just installed the latest update for the Android system, and it even reduced my sound volume. Now, I can't hear anything at all at full volume! On a computer, I can use an external, inline amplifier. But with my phone, it's not working at all.
