hi. well i don't know anything about phone processors so i'm asking here before i make a decision to buy a phone. so far i'm liking the maxx with the new software innovations. the camera which is a concern for me, i might just have to live with. my only concern with the camera is the anti shake. it doesn't work so well on my razr maxx. the g2, on the commercial, shows much better anti shake. i hope the droid maxx has something comparable or at least much improved anti shake from the razr maxx. anyway, another concern is if the processor on this will last me 2 years, though it's unlikely i will use a phone for 2 years.... i haven't before. this razr maxx is the longest i've used a phone (about a year). the only thing about this razr maxx i have is that it can no longer run some of the bigger newer apps smoothly. it's not even 2 years since it was released (right?) and it can't run everything anymore. i'm just concerned that because the maxx doesn't have the most up to date processor that i will run into this problem again. thanks for any help.

This processor was released in Q3 2013. It's the smoothest android experience I've seen. I wouldn't be concerned... The x8 system works fantastic. G2s OIS blows maxx out of the water. Still wouldn't sway me though.

oh weird. wonder why people are saying it's "last year's processor." O.o

Because they don't understand cores or the x8 computing system.

RAZR maxx only had 1 gig ram and a much slower processor. Also as the new phones and the apps that they run change so quickly. Its is hard for any phone to last 2 years in that environment. I believe you will start to see all phones optimized like the new Maxx. By spreading out how and what the cores run should increase the phone shelf life.

so that means it has more staying potential to last me 2 years? i probably shouldn't worry cause i'll probably get the next maxx anyway if the camera is improved lol.
