I am always puzzled at the excitement most seem to have over upgrades to software. I'm not. Usually they change something for the worse or screw up something that I liked and was working just fine...for something that doesn't. I'm still waiting to use an Airplane Mode icon again, for example.

I've been using the developer preview of Lollipop on my Nexus 7. Let me just say, get excited this time. It's as big of an improvement as Gingerbread was to ICS, if not more.

I liked most things better as versions have moved forward, but there was almost a deafining silence from Google when they joined the Notification and Call volumes going from GB to ICS. One forum had a Google developer comment that the comments around that were "interesting."

That was one GREAT thing about the 2013 Droids - that "feature" was reversed in those devices.
