Wondering what you think about size with 3 vs 3xl. I have the 3xl and thinking about giving the smaller profile a try.

Got the update at May 15. I took my AT&T sim card and put it on my Note 8(my security patch was January 2010). So after updating to April 2019 in terms of security patch, the Note upgrade to Android 9(Pie). See more or less how the upgrade runs at the Note 8, see the One UI or something like that. I liked the night mode, but that it is. Took out of the Note 8 the AT&T sim card but before put it back in the Pixel 3 XL I searched for the security patch of May 2019 and download it.

The 3 is a revelation, it feels like holding a phone again, not a tablet. There are a lot of things to like about the 3xl, but it is too damn big to put in my jeans pocket or in my sport coats. Ditch the monster size 3xl and return to the smaller size of the 3.

I noticed after the update when I put my Pixel on the wireless charger, it will display "Wirelessly charging" instead of "Charging slowly." It still charges slowly, unfortunately. So, just a cosmetic change.

I was actually thinking about doing just that, any drawbacks to the smaller 3 over the XL??

Funny, I noticed that last night. Are you using the Pixel charger? Mine used to say "Charging Rapidly" when I put it on there but now just "Wirelessly Charging". Dont know if thats slow or rapid.

No, it's Anker PowerWave charger. I know it charges Pixel at 5W only, but the message is different now.
