Hello folks, is there any way to move the calculator app to the side bar, I messed around trying to move it their but it would just go back to the same position it was in on when I tried to move it from. Thanks for any help in accomplishing this feat.

If you mean the Multitask bar I don't think there is a way without root. From what I understand there are only certain apps that work in it. I could be wrong here, so if I am , someone let me know.

As far as root, I am not 100% sure, think you are right though. You correct about only certain apps will work with it.

You do have to have root, because you need to use Titanium Backup. This is a quote from the xda forums: "Big thanks to Rompnit! To fix this wipe data in com.sec.android.app.flashbarservice with TB and it will work correctly" Then reboot, "ALL" apps will be in the multiview sidebar, you can just drag what you don't want out of it.

Thanks for your replies, you indeed have to be rooted, a customer of mine has a GS3 and is rooted and the calculator app is on his sidebar.

I am rooted and have TB but I could not get this work after wiping and re-booting multiple times.

I did find an app in Google Play that did work for me and I was able to add only the apps I wanted (not all). Samsung Multi Window Manager.

When you first open it, it tells you it needs to patch flashbarservice.apk but if you go through the steps for GS3s, you'll find the Sprint version is not included. I just canceled the setup, picked my apps, saved my choices and it worked just fine (at least so far I'm not having a problem). :)

Did you specifically wipe com.sec.android.app.flashbarservice? This has worked for everyone I've seen that is on a rooted TW rom.

TW = Touchwiz. Ramer is referring to the stock ROM, or any ROM based on stock, including MOAR, Wicked Sensations, and others.

Oops, sorry, I should have spelled it out. :-[

PS: Don't leave out my favorite rom, "The People's Rom (TPR) We all have our favorites and the support from the developer has been fantastic :)
