meaning of the bars on top of phone??

Regarding the bars at top of phone for wifi and 4G. Why do I have two when I have Wifi on? It seems the bars above arrows change and also the ones beside it. Are they both broadcasting wifi signal?

The one on the left is the wifi icon, with the number of bars indicating signal strength, and the arrows indicating wifi data uploading and downloading. It displaces the mobile data icon even if the latter is on. If you had your wifi off and your mobile data on, the mobile data icon would appear....mine at the moment says H, with the arrows beneath it....you mention 4G so yours would presumably say that.
The icon on the right shows your radio signal strength in bars, and remains in place even when you're using wifi.
