Media Storage Ringtones

[Android Central Question]

Samsung S9. All of the ringtones that I have added are available through Media Storage and able to change the default with them. However, the preinstalled show up, but when selected the top of the page shows ADD not Save. So you add and the screen goes to Complete action using … My choices are Sound Picker, Zedge, and Drive. Select Sound Picker and goes to the full list, but the one I picked is not there. But I can pick any of the ones listed and a change is made. It seems that Media Storage has knowledge of the sound, but not sharing with Sound Picker. How do I fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! What directory are those custom ringtones saved to? Make sure they're saved to the /Ringtones directory on Internal Storage.
