Has anyone else experienced this issue? I will manually set the media volume on my DNA, but after a period of inactivity or a reboot the volume will reset back to full blast. This happens on both my DNA that has not been updated and my wife's DNA that does have the latest update.

I have tried googling to find an answer but I seriously cannot find any posts or websites talking about this problem.

Get yourself "volume locker" in the play store its free. Only thing is if you want to mute the phone ringer you have to disable V/L first. Works great.

Thanks, I'll look into that. I wish there was a solution that didn't require a 3rd party app though. Especially because I often mute my ringer as I go to the movies a lot.

I use Sound Manager which adjust my volumes on a schedule so the notifications get quieter and then off at night along with lower the ringer just a little around 10PM then back to my daytime settings at 8AM.

I tried the app you suggested, but still getting the same issue on both of our DNA's. It only affects the Media Volume. Had anyone else experienced this? I can't believe I'd be the only one having this problem and actually have it on two different units.

Nope, you are not the only one. I have this problem as well. I use a little app called Silent Mode Toggle to quickly put my phone in vibrate or silent when going into a meeting, and I used to think that it was causing the problem. More often than not, when I left the meeting and toggled back to normal mode, the ringer would be at max volume. I have now observed a few occasions where the ringer volume went to max without the toggle app. I have just defaulted to checking it frequently for now, until someone sorts out what the fix is.

Just a heads up, it's been 2 months since I uninstalled Tango and I have not had the media volume issue come back. The app seems to have been the problem. This worked for both of our DNA's.
