Memory almost full

Hello
Last night I went to bed with about 800MB free now this morning when I woke up it is telling me I only have around 238 free. I did not do any updates during the night but I did upload my pictures to my cloud. I cleared my cache and ran avast cleaner and cm cleaner to see if that would help. Any ideas on what happened?

Hi Jonathan and welcome to Android Central.

Is this phone storage or ram usage? If it is ram just restart the phone, an app is probably hogging it all.

If it is storage then go through your photos and delete all the local content that is already backed up on the cloud.

it is my phone's internal Storage. I have all my photos moved over to my SD card. I will try to delete them from it and see if that works.

I assume this is on the 8gb version?
Otherwise there is something wrong with your phone.

Yes it is 8 gigs.

I have the same phone and I had the same problem what I did was move some apps to the SD card and that freed up some space

It could be some app storing large amounts of data in your internal storage.

If you go to settings>>storage, it gives you a composition of your internal storage. Should be clear from that information why your memory is full

I had the same problem and discovered that I had over 5000 podcasts downloaded! I deleted them all and cleared up a ton of space.

If you still need it, go to settings, storage, and press cache... Delete it and you will get a ton of storage back
