At the end of September I purchased a 16GB SD card for my phone from a seller on Amazon. The brand would seem to be DataMine. When I received it the first week of October I opened the package, removed the factory 2GB card that came with my phone, put in the 16GB card, and continued on my merry way.
Everything was fine until last week Saturday. I turned on my phone that morning and discovered that the phone had stopped recognizing that SD card. I took it out and put in the factory 2GB card and the phone still recognizes that one. Then I put the 16GB card in the adapter and plugged it into my PC's card reader and I can read it fine on there as well. For some reason, my phone just doesn't acknowledge that 16GB card anymore.
The return window with Amazon expired on the 26th of October, which was 30 days from when the seller mailed it, not 30 days from when I received it.
Sooo to see about returning it for a refund I had to email the seller on Amazon. Someone replied and asked me if I formatted the card (either with the phone or on a PC) when I first got it. Am I supposed to do that? I thought the phone would format it automatically. I haven't had to format anything since floppy diskettes became obsolete!
Anybody have any ideas what could be happening with this card or my phone?
