Memory Card partitions?

[AC Question]

I've installed a 32GB SD card and configured it as internal memory to be able to load/run more apps. I'd also like to be able to be able to "mount" the device to my PC and transfer pics, etc. but with it configured as internal, my PC sees nothing when I attach it via USB.

I was wondering if it would be possible to partition the SD card so that 16GB was "internal" and the other 16GB visible/available for data storage?

Or, is there some setting somewhere that I'm missing?

I'm running 6.0 on the phone.
