Memory Card Problem

So I finally had time to put some music on my phone today. I went to plug it in and my computer said it "was not readable". Then when I looked at my phone, a popup appeared and had an ! inside a triangle, the message said "The memory card is missing. Insert a memory card to access Media Share".

I thought that was strange, opened the back up, and my memory card was sitting in there. Just to be safe I took it out and put it back in, tried it a second time with the same results.

Anyone have this problem or is my phone just defective?

Mine worked fine until I removed the SD card and put it in my card reader to copy contents from my Tour's sd. The only solution that worked for me was to pull the card back out, I found a folder called LOST.DIR and deleted it. When I booted the phone back up the content I copied is there, movies, ringtones, and music. Forgot to copy my pictures, but a little afraid to try again. lol

Just a dumb observation on my part but are your droids connected via usb while trying to look at the micro sd card. If thats the case unplug your usb and you should be fine. Also go to settings>sd card and phone settings & see what it says there about your sd card.

I probably should have unmounted I guess before I remove it, although the phone was off and battery out when I removed it and put it back in. I am used to my Blackberry where I can remove the card at will with no problems.

It was plugged in, and when it's plugged in the phone tries to automatically connect to the media app but when it does, it says to please plug in a memory card in order to proceed. It just never recognizes it.

When I got into the settings it does say it's there, with over 14 gigs free.

I did see that file when I was looking around, I'm thinking I'll delete it and see if it works.

I saw that lost.dir and deleted it as well, thinking it was malware or something. how can i get it back?

Well is there a way to copy (using a pc) the pictures from the phone to a jump drive? How would you do that without the usb plugged in?
