Memory problems with SD cards

Anyone else having problems with their memory on their phones
We all know the start up media scanning takes way to much time
then every time I download a picture or mp3 to sd it starts scanning
sometimes once for five seconds, other times will scan 5 times for 10 minutes
sometimes decides to not connect to computer
other times at random decides its connected to usb
anyone else having problems like this?

I don't experience these issues. It seems likely that you have an app (or two) that is doing something strange.

Do you have any media-oriented apps installed?

Internet music?
MP3 downloaders?
Shoot me screen shot might be the problem??

I can't answer the question- only point you in what I think might be the right direction.

I'd advise either:

1) uninstalling (or freeze with titanium backup) all the apps that index the SD card and see whether that fixes the problem. If it does, reinstall (or unfreeze) one at a time until the problem begins again.

2) do a google search for android media scanning and see whether any of the apps you've got installed show up.
