Menu and back buttons not working

I have purchased a a galaxy note 10.1 (2014) recently and it seemed to work fine but a few days ago i noticed that the menu and back buttons don't work when i use my fingers.It works when i use my stylus though .
Does anyone know what's wrong it?

Welcome to Android Central! Does this persist after a reboot? If so, how new is it? You may just want to return it for an exchange while you can.

Do they work with your fingers when the Spen is docked in the tablet?

If so, it could just be hand rejection settings.

yes they do .

i did reboot and even did a factory reset but it still the same .I just wanted wondered to know if it something i can do it without sending to service

This won't solve your problem but handy soft key is a good way to save the hard buttons and get access to your controls the free app is very good and the pro gives a bit more customization.

Also experiencing exactly these symptoms. Also if I touch just to the right of the back button both buttons light up both do nothing? Very odd and annoying.

Hi I too have the same issue. But I observed that this happens only in Portrait mode. Do you also have same observation? Have you solved the issue?
