Menu Bar Background

From photos I've seen, there isn't any separation between the main menu (home, back, etc), the custom menu (email, browser, etc) and your regular home screen icons. Is there a way to put a background or divider within the phone settings?

Not sure what you mean exactly, but maybe just photoshop it so it's exactly what you want in the bar area, then the bar background would be different from rest

There is a line that seperates the on screen buttons (back, home, and multitask) from the task bar
