Menu button on Lock Screen?

Loving my second day with the GN, but I noticed that if I wake the screen up after sleeping it inside an application with a legacy menu button, like Facebook, the menu button appears in the lower right corner. If you tap it, the screen unlocks, but no menu is shown. I can't really think of a reason that this would be a feature on the home screen. Any thoughts?

I've noticed this too. It seems to be a bug. It's only there if a legacy app with a menu button is currently active. For instance, go to an app, like facebook, that has the menu button in the ICS menu bar and then lock the screen. The menu button is left visible and pressing it unlocks the screen and displays the app. No menu is displayed though. Then go to an app that doesn't have the menu button in the ICS menu bar, like GMail, and notice that no menu button is visible on the lock screen.

I'm guessing that a bug in the lock screen code is hiding and disabling the other buttons, but not the menu button.

I thought it was a bug too, but if you have anything other than slide lock it is still there but doesn't do anything. IMO I think it may just be a shortcut to jump to whatever app was open.
