Menu key not lighting up!! help please!!

Okay so my galaxy note two screen is cracked and some of the glass is missing around the menu key and it isn't lighting up but it still functions like it should, my back key is fine though. I don't know what is wrong I cant find anything online. Please help!

I'm assuming you broke the light when the phone was dropped/hit. Doesn't sound like a software issue

Yea. Most likely broke the LED

my Verizon lights on menu never come on have new ribbon cable? Worked with old cable that i put in my wife phone while I waited for parts for my note 2? The buttons work but no light? Not even when phone comes on? You can't put it in upside down can you?The ribbon cable is new bought it off eBay? Have new LCD and Digitizer. Both work fine?
