Message Alert under Contact

So I see that under each individual contact there is a ringtone option, message alert option and vibration pattern option. I tried setting a custom notification (message alert) for a particular contact and it doesn't seem to play anything other than the default notification tone for everyone. Any ideas on what i'm doing wrong. Please Help!!! I would love to have custom message alerts (text alert):'( for certain contacts.

I just tried it and it worked for me for the ringtone for calls. But not for texts. Odd. If I find a solution, I'll let everyone know.

After a little research, some people have suggested Ringo Lite, and after looking at the app, it does seem to do what you want to accomplish. I think it's a bug in the OS, hopefully fixed with 4.3. Hope this helps.
