Android Central Question

I have a ZTE Blade A3 Prime with Android 10. I get an intermittent error when receiving larger text messages or pictures - "Message expired or not available". I have Yahoo Mobile. They have told me that the service is working perfectly fine. I tried a factory reset, but have same problem.

Are these issues occurring at only certain times of the day. There is a disclaimer on their website that says that data may be slower during times of congestion. That also means that customers who have official Verizon plans are prioritised over customers using MVNOs piggybacking off Verizon's network.

Oooh, good point.

Yes, band 4 is at home and that's the only place I've noticed the issue. However, with the pandemic, I don't go out much and work close to home. It may occur in other areas, I just don't know. As for the time of day, it doesn't seem to matter.

Would adjusting any settings in the Google messages app, or in APN settings help?

Are you using wi-fi calling? If so, try turning that off (or vice-versa -- if you're not using it, try turning that on, if available).

Wi-fi didn't work. Contacted ZTE, they stated that there is a known issue with the APN settings. I contacted Yahoo Mobile support again, they corrected the APN issues and it's working. Thanks for all of your help!

Great! Would you happen to know the correction to the APN? It might be helpful to share it here in case others on Yahoo Mobile run into the same problem!:)

I'm not sure what they corrected. All they told me was that the Verizon APN settings had to be corrected on their end. None of the APN settings on my phone changed.
