Message not Sent

Occasionally when trying to send an SMS message, I get "message not sent". Switching my network between WiFi and cellular (Consumer Cellular) sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. What gives here ???

Have you tried a different message app ?

Just got this NEW Moto G7 Power and am also new to Android.

I'm using the message app that came with the Moto. Can you please recommend an alternate message app and how to install it on my Moto G7 Power?

I get the same, but it's only when I'm at work. I work in hospital theatres, so for me it could be all the insulating walls and electrical equipment.

I use the default Google messaging app and it works fine.

When this happens, are you in an area with poor cell signal? It may just be that Consumer Cellular's network isn't that good in some areas where you typically go.

Problem resolved by itself ...... go figure. All's well with the included messaging app .... Google I think.
