Message options

I am new to android.

when I receive a text message it says message on my lock screen. I have to unlock the phone then swipe down to see the content.]

with the iphone the message would pop right up on the screen , i would have to press 0 buttons to read the text.

is there a way to have the messages come up like this on my galaxy ?

You can use a 3rd party app that will do that for you.

This one will do everything you want, got a lot of settings to configure it the way you like it.

I use Go SMS Pro though because it will allow me to grow the Fonts up Huge so I don't have to find my spectacles every time a message comes in.
