Messages Issue?

Hello, everyone!

A random glitch happened last night on my Pixel 5 using the stock Google Messages app. While testing family, my texts made the "sending" sound but my message never actually appeared in the conversation. I closed and opened the Messages app -- same thing. I restarted the phone and still saw nothing. When I messaged again, it appeared in the conversation as normal. However, my texts somehow still sent?

Has anyone else encountered this issue or bug? I just downloaded the new April update and I believe Messages is updated to the latest software as well. My Pixel 5 works great but this is one of a few glitches that is making me concerned. Hopefully everything works well now!

I sent and received multiple texts yesterday (MMS & SMS) on Google Messages without problems. No chat texts. Maybe it's a chat issue or carrier issue? I'm on Mint Mobile, which uses TMobile towers.

Try clearing the app cache/data and force stop it. Then open it and let everything sync again.

It happened once last night and then the other day, so I'm wondering if it's a thing with my carrier or just a glitch. A restart fixes it each time!

I'm pretty sure I have seen this happen a time or two. It refused to show until I threw away the app and relaunched it.

It happens to me at least once a day, but only once. I'm curious as to what is happening. But it's not often enough that it's a problem!

So now it happened to me last night. I'm on the Google Messages beta version. Clearing the cache, force stop, and an app restart did not fix it. I noticed that there was an update available which I installed. Then cleared the cache, etc, again, and the message went through. So maybe the update fixed it,

Oh, no! I'm glad the update fixed it! Thank you for keeping us posted! It hasn't happened to me for maybe three days so I'm wondering if it was a random connection issue, or just a whacky glitch. Who knows?
