Messages Unable to be Seen

Hi,

I recently did an update (Oreo) to my Galaxy s7 active. And now I cannot see the texts from others without repeatedly clicking on the text.

How can I fix this?

I don't believe Oreo has arrived for the S7 Active yet but there was an update to the Messaging App that eliminated some backgrounds - could that be the issue? Go to this thread that someone else already questioned - you may have to change your background to be able to see your text if I'm right. Unfortunately, my S7 Active is Offline and in it's box and I'm running a Note 8 currently so I can't help any further.
