Messagess not being received on my S7 when sent by another S7

This is a repost of a general post I made without knowing the S7 forum was available

Lately messages sent by 2 members of my family are not being received by me.
we all have s7 and they have not changed anything on their phones.
I can send and they can receive my messages and I seem to be able to message other contacts no problem.
any suggestions please?
EDIT
family had ""enhanced messaging" enabled.
this was disabled and new SIM card inserted and this fixed problem

I've had issues with Texting a Image from one S7 to another and or S7 Actives. The text comes though,m but the images are "Canceled"
