Messaging Pop-up Window

Everything I send a sms message with the native or other messaging app I get a popular that says "messaging is sending a large number of sms messages. Do you want this app to continue sending" . Do I have something setup wrong in my settings for this to always to come up before sending any message

I haven't had the issue. Have you tried clearing the cache for your messaging app? Which ones are you using?

I am using Google the stock messaging app that was already on the other opo. Have cleared cache but still happens

Have you tried using another app like Textra? See if it still happens.

I tried it and now instead of saying messaging app it says textra is sending a lot of messages do you want to continue

That's weird. Have you contacted your carrier? Are other people saying they are getting duplicate texts from you?

I have att and not sure if they would know of a fix since the opo is not a phone they deal with

Well, I had an almost but not quite similar problem after Textra had been updated and he wasn't done with the updates. Every time I rebooted my phone Textra would pop up a notification saying I had new texts when I didn't, only the old texts I knew about. I contacted the developer and he suggested uninstalling and reinstalling Textra to get rid of the notification. It would only work until I rebooted again. Eventually he fixed whatever that bug was.

Your issue is different but maybe you could contact the Textra Dev and see if he has any thoughts (I know it also happens with the stock app, though). Good luck.
