messaging problems

Is anyone having issues with their text messaging on their Droid Maxx? Mine is either force closing or when i go to send a picture it says cannot add picture. If anyone else is having this problem, is there a fix?

Try clearing data on messages. Might be corrupt data there.

I had one force close after trying to open a message sent by a friend. Even trying to open that conversation would fc. I deleted the entire conversation (it would only fc when I tried to open that conversation - the list of conversations was fine) and it's been fine since.
