Messaging Question

Quick question...I'm new to Android so pardon my ignorance...switched from iOS so I'm still learning the ropes. I set my double-tap home to open Messaging, but it only displays Universal Inbox, Text Messaging, and Facebook inside. I use WhatsApp to text my wife, so is there a way I can add that into this Messaging folder? Thanks in advance.

You nee to select the "Text Messages" or the application you want instead. Messaging, like you said, just brings up the universal box.

Right, but the only options that it allows me to select for the double tap are messaging or text messaging...so if I do pick Messaging which brings me to that general folder, is there a way to get WhatsApp to appear in that folder?

I don't think so, there is no settings that will allow for that.
